This beautiful bench on St Giles Hill, Winchester, is the first stop on my new self-guided tour, Bench to Bench. It is dedicated to Paula Moran, who passed away in 1994. The seat is a work of art crafted by blacksmith Richard Bent. The backrest features a beautifully woven running fox made from hot forged steel. Sadly the moss covering the bench makes it difficult to see the fox clearly. Although, Gavin Mann who took the photograph is planning another trip to clean it up. The self-guided tour is now available.
